Introduction
The Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy which is the oldest and the only college in the entire South Gujarat rein to be having its attachment with hospital is located in the heart of the city with a fully furnished facility of an overall rehabilitation process. The nearest location to Railway station and easily approachable from almost any corner of the old city area.
The rehabilitation areas are well distributed into four different zones of medical area; Neuro physiotherapy further divided into Adult and Pediatric Neuro OPD; Orthopedic physiotherapy, and a well-equipped In-Patient Department, accommodated within the campus facility and Lockhat Mulla Hospital managed by the Sarvajanik Medical Trust.
The four departments are fully equipped with latest apparatus and accessories to handle almost all the conditions enrolled under physiotherapy practice. There is an array of apparatus available in all the departments for treating the patients with different treatment needs.
All the departments are equally spacious and well ventilated with well arranged positioning of the treatment areas to avoid commotion and crowding, which is again backed up by a daily appointment system to regularize and systematize the treatment process and allow equal attention distribution on all the patients seeking treatment.

Departments
Adult Neuro OPD caters to the needs of patients with various physical and sensory ailments through use of various approaches , using variety of appratus and manual techniques.
The array of conditions being treated in the Adult OPD are as follows:
Adult Neuro OPD:
- Stroke
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Parkinsonism
- Neuropathies
- Senile degenerative neurological conditions
- Facial / Bell’s Palsy
- Movement Disorders
- Spinal cord injuries
- All kinds of nerve injury and neuropathies

Pediatric Neuro OPD, is the department for treatment of children with various physical and developmental ailments, through the medium of positioning, facilitation of dynamic motions using different manual and apparatus based treatment strategies.
The array of conditions being treated in the Pedaitric Neuro OPD are as follows:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Pre/ Post – operative conditioning for Neo-anal Orifice Absence
- Pediatric Movement Disorders
- Delayed Development
- Gait Deviations
- Post Traumatic Neurological Rehabilitation

Our musculoskeletal physiotherapy department offers service to people with various musculoskeletal disorders and pain. We provide assessment and treatment of patients for orthopedic, rheumatology, post operative, women’s health, podiatry, burn rehab, hemophilic, sports injury, hand rehab, non-operative and chronic pain patients. To support effective care of musculoskeletal patients, we ensure professional physiotherapy staff who are specialists in the treatment of muscles, joints and tendons and ligament problems, and have a wellequipped OPD with latest electrotherapy and exercise therapy instruments. Our motto is to provide a standard and quality care to everyone of the patients at our doorstep.
 We have all the apparatus required for the treatment of the patients with different ailments:

- Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator (TENS)

The inpatient service provides expert physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice for all inpatients that require physiotherapy to facilitate recovery following acute illness or surgery and to facilitate discharge home or onward referral for rehabilitation.

- All acute medical and post-surgical conditions
- Post-operative chest and limb care exercises
- ICU management (MICU, PICU, NICU)
- COVID care management

About College
The Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy offering BPT degree of 4 1/2 years started with 20 seats started from 2001 has completed its 21st year, present intake capacity is 47 seats. The result of final year exam of four consecutive batches is 100%, it’s a matter of pride for Students, Teaching, Non Teaching Faculty and the management.
